Privacy Policy
Last updated July 31, 2026
This policy explains how personal information is handled when you use the Just One Look website. The website is currently maintained by an independent international team preserving and sharing the Just One Look work.
Information you provide
The website does not currently offer user accounts or forms that collect personal information. If you contact us by email, we receive the email address, name, message, and any other information you choose to include. We use that information to read and respond to your message and to maintain necessary correspondence.
We do not sell or rent personal information.
Hosting and technical information
This is a static website hosted through GitHub Pages. The hosting provider may process technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP addresses, browser details, requested URLs, and timestamps. That processing is governed by the provider's own privacy terms.
The website does not intentionally set first-party advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated before those services are introduced.
External services and links
The website links to services operated by other organizations, including the Just One Look Forum, Internet Archive, YouTube, ChatGPT, and other referenced resources. The Forum runs on Discourse, and podcast audio may be loaded from Internet Archive when you use a player. These services may receive technical information and may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies. We do not control their privacy practices.
Look At Yourself AI guide pilot
The private Look At Yourself pilot uses OpenAI to generate its responses. What a pilot visitor writes is sent to OpenAI for processing. The website does not intentionally save pilot conversations, and the pilot does not create user accounts or profiles. Conversation context is kept only in the active browser tab and is cleared when the visitor restarts or closes the tab.
OpenAI may retain API data temporarily to operate and protect its service. API inputs and outputs are not used to train OpenAI models by default. Pilot visitors should not enter names, addresses, contact details, medical information, or other private information.
Children may use the pilot only with the approval of a parent or guardian. The approval screen does not request the child’s or adult’s name, age, email address, or identification.
Retention and security
We retain personal correspondence only for as long as it is reasonably needed for communication, recordkeeping, security, or legal obligations. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but reasonable care is taken to protect the information we hold.
Your choices and requests
You may ask whether we hold personal information about you, or request correction or deletion where applicable. We may need enough information to verify the request and locate the relevant correspondence.
